Our core engineering team is looking for an experienced Computer
Scientist to help architect and develop the next generation of highly
scalable, clustered systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
=95 Building large-scale, clustered, performance-driven systems, with
a sharp product focus - building the backbone for the next generation
of Web Search, focusing on both search and navigation paradigms.
=95 Applying knowledge and providing guidance in the areas of text
and language analysis, distributed computing, multi-terabyte storage
systems, and high-performance computing.
=95 Applying knowledge of software design principles, systems
programming, and algorithm design in C/C++.
Required skills include:
=95 Ideal candidates have built large-scale, complex, reliable
systems or applications.
=95 Demonstrated expertise in: C++/C, multi-threaded programming,
*Algorithms*, Unix development tools, scripting languages.
=95 MS (PhD preferred) in Computer Science (or equivalent) and 5+
years experience.
=95 Text analysis, information retrieval, or related experience.
=95 Experience with Enterprise or Web Search systems.
=95 Experience in compression algorithms
=95 Experience providing technical leader****p in the above areas.
Solid technical chops are preferred over management experience.
